debirf enter fails with "debirf_exec: command not found"

On the same amd64 xen sid system as #91, i tried to get into the debirf root to poke around, and i'm getting a strange error: 

0 dkg@chester:~/debirf$ debirf enter rescue
Loading profile 'rescue'...
/usr/bin/fakeroot: 166: debirf_exec: not found
127 dkg@chester:~/debirf$

this is happening after the failed "make" described in #91, but the error seems to be unrelated to the contents of the debirf root, so i think it's worth investigating separately.

I just noticed that this bug is almost certainly related to bug #99, that I opened separately and have since closed. Sorry. should have done a better search through before opening a new one.
