is root-build option for make-debirf really necessary?

Description
why can't make-debirf just always work with fakeroot/fakechroot? i guess this is better addressed when all the kinks are worked out of the fake{,ch}root build method.

i think there is value in leaving this option available, since the debootstrap build is slightly different and may be valuable under certain circumstances. i'm going to go ahead an close this ticket.
