debirf fails to build on systems running nscd

Description
Debirf will fail to build if the host system is running the name service caching daemon (nscd). This seems to be a problem with fakechroot, and has been report to the fakechroot package in Debian:
I noticed this on an amd64 machine running nscd, and surely enough the problem goes away if the nscd is stopped.
